In reply to Tom's question, I have found that the alternator in my Verado is like a major power plant, I sort of doubt that I could possibly lose enough output at even idle speed to drain more than I am adding. Having said that, however, I still would not be concerned because if I were trolling all day with the big motor, I will still have three fully charged deep cycle batteries for the bow-mount and if my cranking battery went South, I would just take out my trusty jumpers and pop it right back on.
