Has anyone has any problems with the new Lowrance hds units. I am wanting to buy one but the reviews on Cableas have me a little timid?

Thoughts?

The only problem I know of is the Lowrance update that is still unavailable. Right now, the Navionics chips are not supported by the HDS units but will be soon.

I've heard a lot of good from the few guys that have them and have said they are just unbelievable. So far so good, other than the update issue.

I talked with a buddy who is a Lowrance Technician this afternoon and he said the Navionics update in which the HDS units will be able to support those chips will be released May 15. Navionics has a small glitch in the Turboview and they felt it was important to have it perfect before releasing. The folks at Lowrance have seen it on the computer and it works in the units, but it's not perfect from what he said after talking with the Navionics folks.
