Hiya,

If you are looking to put a bowmount on, it isnt too bad to do: all you would need is the following...
A piece of 3/4" marine grade plywood
A couple of pieces of angle aluminum
Stainless bolts and locknuts
Carpet if you choose

As for a front deck, you can do it and it will work ok...I did this on a 14 foot alumacraft. Made a frame out of 2 x 2 which also included a platform underneath for the battery which helps stability.

I made mine so they could come out for cleaning and storage. Worked really well for the smaller lakes.

shouldn't be too tipsy, and I don't think a single person could tip a boat like that over.

A 15hp motor will do well on it too. Probably see right around 20 or so for speed...
