I was doing some general maintenance (plugs, etc.) when I noticed something on my motor that doesn't look right. On the two cycle oil line (rubber hose) that feeds the two cycle oil from the tank on the boat to the smaller tank on the motor there is a brass connection that splits the line into a nozzle pointing down and then the line connects to the top of the tank on the motor. Currently, there isn't not another line attached to this nozzle and I can't find another hose that is unattached. Does anyone know if this is just a vent? Or is it a vacuum hose that has mysteriously vanished? I do not see evidence of oil leaking out of this nozzle so maybe I'm okay but I thought I would ask.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Wade
