Subject: Eagle Fishmark 320C: "sudden death" and temp issue

Was out on a lake last week and put the trolling motor on constant for a while and my bow-mount 320C just died. Was dead for the rest of the day and magically turned back on the next morning as the batteries charged (didn't check it when I got home and began charging). Has this happened to anyone? Does someone have a suggestion to prevent this from happening in the future (other than running the TM on constant for prolonged periods of time)?

Also, temp gauge isn't working properly. Someone else experience this? Should I send it back for a new one (bought this past winter either 12/08 or 1/09)?
