Very simple fix to get longer rods in your Ranger. take the front panel off where the bow switches are and you will see the end of the rod tubes. There is a cap over the ends that can be removed either by prying or cutting. You will now be able to safely store rods a little over 8'6. No the rod tip wont get hung up.
