I am in between boats myself and rod storage is a frustrating issue.

Here's the answers on rods...

Ranger 619 , one or two 8's will not take 8/6". Lower rod tubes in 619's are really short.

Ranger 1860, will take 8's easily and according to my local dealer who called Ranger, you can remove the caps from the rod tubes and get two 8'6" rods

Yeah, I agree... Spend that much money on a boat and it's not musky rod friendly for longer rods.

I am seriously looking at Tuffy boats because they offer the longest and most user friendly rod locker available in a center-line rod locker.
