Location: Palm Coast, FL		After all the issues I had with my Merc (2-rebuilds), I decided to go with a 225 etech. I bought a used 2006 ranger 620 with a 225 etech in 2008. Had it for one season (it had 400 hours on it when I bought it after 2 years of use). It now has 470 hours on it and I had to have the pinion gear replaced. They said that it has since been beefed up and not an issue. It did cost me $1500 for this repair.
