I drive a 2008 powerstroke with the 6.4 diesel, and a Hummer H2 with the 6.0 gas. The diesel has tons more power both off the start, and going up hills with my 3500lb boat. But it only gets 9mpg. The H2 tends to downshift more often, but I'm getting 11mph with that. Plus, gas is .25 cents cheaper.
WOW that is about the worst milage I heard anyone get with the 6.4L Powerstroke.
I have a bunch of friends with the 08' 6.4L and they are doing much better than that. Is your truck a dually with the 4.10 gears or are you a single rear running 3.73's
I have an 06' F250 with the 6.0L 3.73's I have a 4" turbo back exhaust with muffler delete and I'm running the SCT X3 tuner with 150hp gain and right now on winter blend (kerosene/diesel mix) I'm getting 21.5 mpg highway hand calculated. Once we get off the winter blend I should be getting around 23 mpg |
