not true with the 8.1 I got rid of my 2005 power stroke that got about 12.5 mpg pulling a185 tourney pro running 75to80mph on interstate and now am pulling with a 2001 sub with the 8.1 gas and get 11 mpg the plus is gas is .85to 1.15 $ cheeper. ps I think you will be disapointed with the 6.0 comming from a rattler it will do the job but very under powered compaired to the the diesel or 8.1
