I had my X-190 on Big Bay of Vermillion a couple days this past season and in a few other windy situations on some larger northern Wisconsin lakes and I thought it did an awesome job. It really cuts the waves well. As for fishing in heavier winds, well, imho again, since it's a lower profile boat, I felt it exceeded my expectations. But my main comparison is coming from a previous higher side fiberglass rig and an aluminum rig. This rig is definitely the cats ass between a bass boat and a deep v. Can handle bigger water better than a bass boat because it still retains that deep v but has a lower profile than say a Ranger Fisherman series(other than a 618) or any other comparable rig of that caliber .
