Location: Kodiak, AK | Buy used. For the money you're spending on a HULL you can get a used Lund with a decent motor, maybe a trolling motor and basic electronics. They're all over MN and WI. My Dad bought an older 16' Pike with a 50 Merc and TM for $3500 a few years ago, and then just this past summer bought a 16' Pro V with (I think) a 75, trolling motor, and Lowrance X 15 for (again, I think) $7,000, and it's a newer model.
Buy used. You can get ALOT more boat, still get a great boat, and not have to suffer depreciation, and then still outfit the thing. I understand if you're picky about electronics and TM's. I am. But shop around this winter and wait till you find what you want. Lund's are all over the place.
