These units are the same essentially. Lowrance actually owns Eagle, however, the Lowrance name has been around longer and is more distinguished so I guess somehow they get more $$$ for those because of the name. My research on the two units was exactly what I thought in the fact that their isn't anything of difference between the two units that I could find, other than the name. If I were buy one of these units, I'd buy the Lowrance because I've always had a preference for Lowrance. But really it doesn't matter which unit you go with.

Here is another unit that isn't much more. But in my opinion, for $50 more, the 5'' screen is definitely worth it. The pixel count, the power and everything else of relevance is the same.
