As the factory batteries went in my boat, I have replaced with Optima. I run 2 up front for the trolling motor and 1 in the back for big motor and electronics. I would strongly recommend the Optimas. I've been running them for 2 yrs now without a single problem. They hold a charge seems like forever and when they do need recharged, do so very quickly.
I think the reliablilty and piece of mind, knowing that you will have the power when you need it more than offsets the price.
As my other batterys go in the trucks and tractors, they will be replaced with Optimas also.
