I wanted one so badly on my Range I bought this year. I just thought it was the coolest thing to have. But dangit, for the price, I figured I'd fish a season and see if there was a need. And for the whole season on the water, never once did I think to myself that I need one! And like A-B-G mentioned, get to know your TM and you can change lures just fine. I've got a Terrova with CoPilot, so I can sit in the back, swap a fly out, get a drink, have a sandwhich and never loose control of the boat.

Power Poles are cool as heck though. I saw one the other day that had two on the back and it allows you to stake your boat perpindicular to current or wind and sit there rock solid. I thought that was a cool idea. And for $3000, that capability is all your's!
