A Bass boat will work great in Minnesota for Muskie. They are a very stable platform for tossing baits off the front decks. Heck, that's what they are designed for.

I have a Ranger 681VS which is a multi species boat , works great. I have a Tuffy deep V, works great. Don't get hung up on the boat issue. Get some tackle, hop in a boat and go fishing. Don't make this hobby overly complicated or expensive . It will just take the fun out of it for you.

Keeps this in mind, when fishing always keep an eye on the weather. You can get into trouble with even the most expensive and large boats they make. Be smart, stay alive.
