I own a 1999 sylvan 1600, bought it used (very light use) it has been a great boat! No leaks, handles the water similar to a 1750 tyee. I wouldnt hesitate on buying another one, plus save some money from the big name boats. I run mine on LOTW out of the Angle and have had it out in 40 + winds and didnt worry at all, handled it fine. Quality is pretty good also, nothing wrong with it and I have owned it for 2 years.
