Corey. Think of it this way...if power flows OUT of the batteries through the front trolling motor plug, it has to be able to flow back in through the same receptacle. Are you using a 12Volt charger and red plug? If you are using a black plug, make sure you have the hot wire from the charger in the 12 volt spot, there's 12 and 24 available on that plug.

Also, you need to understand what a Marinco plug does, it takes what is a set of two to three 12 volt wires, and through the wiring in the plug and the receptacle creates a 12, 24, or 36 volt flow. No jumper wires should be needed on that system.
