So I'm planning on getting out fishing saturday and my trolling motor is still not functioning. I've got an e-mag with a 24 volt 80lb power drive. The power plug is marinco and the plate on the front is marinco as well. I've checked all power/ground connections to the batteries and they are clean and attached properly. The fuses are fine as well...I actually cut the old ones off and hard wired them but since have replaced with new fuse lines. The front plate has a Jump/Run switch for the rear motor and a interior light which functions fine....so that tells me power most be getting to the back of the plate and that the connections to the batteries are fine. (Unless this is attached to the rear battery??) I replaced the Marinco power plug and that didnt help at all. I also hooked the trolling motor directly to a 12 volt battery and it worked...a little slow but it functioned. Batteries are brand new this summer. The trolling motor worked one weekend and then stopped working the next. THIS SUCKS! Any help or suggestions would be helpful. 630.452.5216
