I have fished out of the 618(very nice musky boat) and consider it more of a bass boat for inland lakes. The beam is much wider on the 1860 compared to the 618. If you are a troller, there is more room in the back than a 619/620 because the 1860 does not have the rear side storage boxes, If I remember correctly the front deck, if smaller than a 620 is not a whole lot smaller, it certainly is large enough for 2 guys casting. Handles rough water fine. I have not experienced waves coming over the bow that I know some folks have mentioned regarding the new 620's. I would say the roughest I saw was a 4 footer mixed in....When the wind was blowing at 40 mph for the Winneconne event did I get wet? Of course I did so did many others in many other brands. For both Green Bay events I would guess the waves were 2 - 4 footers dependent on where you fished..I felt fine and thought the boat handled well, but I will admit that I am not a cowboy when it comes to getting to the spot and back...Performance wise, I have a 150 Opti and with full load and decent conditions I avg. 46-48 mph. I have seen 50 mph on a rare occasion...I would think the 175 Opti Pro-XS would be a nice motor for this rig...but if a dealer has one with a 150 on the floor at a good price, I wouldn't be deterred. Good Luck.
