I have a 2000 Ram 2500 had both front wheel bearings go out within a month. Fixed it myself for around $350-$375 per side. Those bearings are pricey, it's timely job so a mechanic probably charge you a pile. If you haven't gotten it fixed yet you should also check and see if your lower ball joints are still in working order. Both dodges I'v had need to have them replaced and you have to remove the wheel bearing to get at them. Just try to save you some work down the road goodluck.
