Other than a couple lakes in the Milwaukee area I ma not aware of any lakes that have HP restrictions. There are plenty that are no wake and quite a few that are electric only but you can still use your big motor on the no wake lakes as long as you go slow. And on the electric only lakes all the one's I've been on you can still have your gas motor on the boat you just can't use it - electric only.

One thing to remember is that most wake and electric restrictions are local ordanances and not a state law so they could be written as to not allow gas motors on a electric only lake even if they aren't being used. But I have never seen or heard of one of these in Wisconsin.
