Location: syracuse indiana		yes back flushing is a good thing.. let the water run through it for about 20 min. but if the impellar has not been changed in years , it should be done every 2 years regardless of how much it has been used.. i do myown on my 135 optimax. it is easy.. . or a shop can do it ....bill
