it might get close.
my buddy has a Esox Magnum with a 115 E-Tec that i've been in (2 people) going 53mph.
the 1700 is only 200lbs heavier than the Esox Mag, and only 3" wider beam but also has a faster running line.

best way to know? take it out for a test ride and put the throttle down!
