I've got an 11 year old Motorguide Brute 56lb thrust bow mount trolling motor with a toggle switch allowing me to go from 12V to 24V. Recently, when I am using the motor all of a sudden it will just quit. The other night it would work on 12V only. Tonight it quit, and it would not work on either voltage. Is my trolling motor done for? Is it worth fixing being that old? Any ideas on what may be the problem? I've got a trip that I am leaving for in less than two weeks so I need to make some quick decisions. If I do buy a new one I was looking at the Minnkota 70lb powerdrive. Any help would be great. Also, any thoughts on that Minnkota or any others.
Thanks
