The speedo on yer boat and GPS will never be the same. The GPS is most accurate.
I also have a Crestliner, the speedo has nothing to do with the boat, it's the engine. My speedo wasnt working (115 opti) the hollow tube that plugs at the front of the motor, and I am guessing sends the reading to yer speedo, got pinched when trimming. Fortunately there was enough slack I could just cut it and put it back on.
