i've got a 175 suzuki on a Ranger 690 (18'9" x 90") which I would guess is about the same weight as the 1860 angler...I do 53 with 2 guys, gear and 1/2 tank...never had it above 54.5 yet...
it cruises very nicely and sips fuel at 30-32...I would weigh the costs and def. look at warranty..i got a 6 yr with mine...as i will have the boat at least 5 yrs...great motor..I would recommend getting a 175 for your boat over a 150 if you can spare the extra $$$
