I have been running 2-stroke sleds for over 20 years and the only thing I found is try using a 100% synthetic oil. That should reduce the excessive smoke. One thing to remember on a 2-stroke, smoke is your friend(the engine is getting oil), no smoke could mean "serious problems". Good luck
