Mine does the same thing, but I run into a different problem with mine on Track Up when slow trolling for eyes. I'll be going .9 - 1.4 MPH, and the thing will spin like crazy. If you are trying to watch it, it will make a person dizzy. Just not moving fast enough to make it a steady view.

I am in the habit of leaving it on North Up in Split Screen, and sometimes I go to Track up when moving. I got pretty good at turning left, when it looks like I should be going right! I'll have to see if I can have different settings for full Map and Split screen. I'll let you know.
