oh, just remembered that the new mocules just like the unit itself have software updates and the first time they did this, i think the module had to be updated before the head unit, but the head unit had to be updated as well so that they could "speak" to each other. (not sure on order maybe it was vice versa) but if your module was updated and the unit wasnt then basically the module was receiving a signal, but the unit couldnt understand it.
