I had a different unit, same problem - you would assume that the puck is powered through the main cord, but it's probably powered separately - if yours is like mine, you have 3 cords - one of them powers the unit, the separate one powers the puck, the other is for the network. The Lowrance manual is idiotic (at best) in that it doesn't just say "GPS power cord." Mine was labeled "NMEA 2000" or something stupid like that. Such a great product, such a stupid manual.
