I just built a new casting deck up front on my boat. I'm just wondering what additional support structure underneath I can add to make the seat more rigid. It has a standard 9" base, and 5/8-3/4" plywood.

I'm considering just adding a 12"x14" sheet of plywood or aluminum underneath.

Whuddya think?
