On the catch-n.com website there is a series of podcasts about lowrance gps/sonar units and in the first one they mention on the navionics chip when you are zoomed in all the way on the screen you are at 1/4 of a mile where as if you are zoomed in all the way on the Lakemster chip you are zoomed into 30 feet. And since they both have all the major lakes in 1 foot contours i will be going with the Lakemaster chip.

It's just a very informational series and alot of people can benefit from the info.
