Guys,

I have been driving diesels for 19 yrs. now and still love them.

The truck that I drive is a 1 ton dully that can pull a house if if had to.
7.3 turbo with chip.

had the chip taken out last summer because the computer screwed up and went from 15 mpg highway to 12 mpg with less power( 60-80 hp ). Had the chip checked out and reinstalled. No problems. 210,000 miles (2001)

My other company truck is a 2005 ,F-250 that has a 6.0 turbo with a chip and gets 19-20 mpg and also can pull about anything out there. 142,000 miles.

I had a 1997 f-250 with out the chip and got 540,000 miles out of it before I gave it to one of my employees, He just replaced the glow plugs and said it runs just fine.

TIP....DO REGULAR MAINTENANCE.... Change oil every 5,000 miles !!

Jerome
