I am going to put a stainless steel prop on my boat this spring and I went out to the Mercury website to their prop selector. For my boat and motor (1600 Lund Explorer SS with 90hp Optimax), it told me the corrrect stainless prop would be 13.75" X 21. The current prop is 13.25" X 21. It runs at 5400 rpm at WOT, which is right where it should be. My question: How much will the 1/2" of extra prop affect the performance of the boat, if at all?
