I hate to jump in here, but I've had the same experience with the newer 620's. I took the bow on my friends 620 a hand full of times this summer on tonka and couldn't believe how many wakes came over. Honestly more came over the bow of the Ranger then come over on my bass boat. My bass boat sits nose high vs. the Ranger that's more level in the water.

That being said, I think the new 620 is a much better casting platform then the old one. The storage, handling and speed are also better. It reminds me of driving a big, fat bass boat vs. the barge that the 05's and older were.
