I bought a X126 with the dual frequency 12 deg transducer about 5 years ago. I fish the same kind of water that you do. The resolutoin on the 50 khz is much less than the 200 khz so I rarely used it. This year I had a problem with the tranducer cable and decided to replace with a single frequency 20 deg transducer and like it quite a bit better. You get a lot wider field of view with the 20 deg and it seems it does a better job of distinguishing features.
