Location: Columbus, Georgia | I run a 9.9 Mercury Pro Kicker (4-stroke) on my FishHawk 1750. It's connected by a rod to the 115hp for steering purposes, and I use the Trollmaster Pro II to control the speed from the helm. With this setup i can also use the tiller on the kicker whenever I am looking for some precision control around weed beds, breaks, etc.
Having dual (factory) throttles up front is somewhat difficult. One of the throttles has to be placed either in front or behind the other. I heeded this warning when I ordered the boat new, and am quite satisfied on my current setup. The Trollmaster pro control os a little dial on a control pad that can be mounted anywhere that it's out of the way and has some protection from really fierce weather. The Pro Kicker is a fine little motor. It's fairly quiet and is really great on gas.
The nice thing about the TrollMaster Pro II is that you can regulate your speed down to tenths of a mile per hour. It's really big among the Walleye guys ...
