We run a 9.9 Bigfoot and find it to be good on fuel, but really noisy (from idle to maybe 3 MPH it's OK). We've got it connected directly to the big motor so that we can steer from the boat's steering wheel, throttle control placement is directly behind the big motor's. Have found it is difficult to make quick turns and the overall maneuverability is not good. That said if we troll it's usually with the big motor. We bought the kicker to use on smaller HP limit lakes and for that purpose it does fine.
