Be careful when looking at some of the 1 year old used Rangers. Ranger has a program with guides/professionals where they have to buy a new boat every year to get the discount, but in turn will have to sell the boat on their own. Sure you can get one of these 1 year old used boats at a decent discount, but the amount of time some of these guides/professionals spend on the water could be the equivalant of what most of us spend on the water over a 5-10 year period.

Like the above post says, take your time and find the right boat. There are plenty of people out there who buy $50k Rangers, spend a few weeks a year on the water, and sell it a couple years later. I bought a 3 year old Ranger 518 VX Comanche 2 years ago with less than 30 hours on the engine, was stored in a garage when it wasn't on the water, had been professionally serviced each year, and I can sell it today for more than I paid 2 years ago.....there are definitely deals out there if you take your time looking.
