Heff,

We've got a C-liner 1850 Fishhawk with a 135 Merc and 9.9 Bigfoot 4-stroke. Not sure what I can idle at (never looked) but with two people (plus dog) and gear, max speed is about 6 mph. 3.0-4.0 is a piece of cake and still pretty quiet. Anything above 4.5 the motor really gets loud (not sure what that's about, might be a whole issue in and of itself...).
