Thanks Shep for that advice on 'not-to-carpet-mount. I am looking for one too. Choice is a MK 210 vs Cabelas, one designed by ProMariner. MK is a 5/5, whereas Cabelas will send the amps to the battery that needs it most. Unless I am on vacation, I rarely need the batteries for the next am. Cabelas is flatter, good for a vertical surface where the MK 'might' be more of a box unit, floor mount. I am going by a photo of a 440 in the catalog. What about overheating?? Is it just one brand or is it a bad installation job? I will be using it for a deep cycle and a starting battery. Any ideas on which? Anyone using either that I have mentioned? Thanks in advance.
