Location: Yahara River Chain		My buddy had a problem with his like that. The set screws in the top of the shaft (under the cover where the other guys are having you look) had ripped out. MinnKota has a kit to rebuild it that includes a metal ring to reinforce around the composite shaft plus adding two more set screws. If it is less than a yr old it should be under warranty. Good luck with the fix.
