Ok, I've read through several threads on this site and see that there is alot of knowledge on MuskieFIRST so here is my dilemma. I just purchased a 1986 Tournament TX BassTracker with a 60 hp Mariner outboard. I started the boat in my driveway with the mufflers on and after flooding it, got it started and it seemed to run fine or so I thought. The one thing I did notice was that the water from the drain tube was just sort of "misting" out and not shooting out. I shut the motor down after feeling the sides start to warm up. I removed the drain tube and blew air through it to check for any blockages which turned up nothing. So here is my question to all, what do you feel the problem is? Waterpump? Thermostat? Impeller? All of the above? Can I fix this myself with the parts and manual or do I rely solely on the 2-3 dealers in Rockford? Is there anyone close that does work on outboards? Thanks for all your opinions and hopefully some help. Jazz
