No, your carpet won't peel there. It feels a bit rough at the match between the gunnel and the carpet because of the adhesive there, without that adhesive it WOULD peel. The synthetic gunnel doesn't allow for the carpet to be 'tucked under', so it's adhered to the glass and matched up with the seam along the gunnel. My new 1890 DGC is built and finished the same way.

To the flex in the floor, that floor isn't 'fiberglass', it's a composite material. Flexing isn't abnormal, and no, it won't crack or break, but if you are concerned, call the factory and have it looked at. Customer service will be happy to address any concerns.
