On my 334 it helps to get a more accurate track log by turning off the track smoothing.

I would sure think the inaccuracy is with the map data.

You can check the current accuracy of the GPS....it should be shown in the satelitte signal page.

I don't have a h2o but I'm sure it is similar to the full size 334 or the old handheld Garmin 12xl I have a bunch of time with.
