i bought one new in 1987 and sold it 3 years ago.bought an esox magnum which is a foot wider and a little longer than the marauder.any way, i ran the marauder on lake of the woods, rainy, wabaskang, indian and many more lakes as well as all over my home water, the mississippi river.it will handle bigger water than its low profile looks like it will.i had a 50 yamaha on mine,it ran just over 30 mph.when fishing in wind or current it handles like it is on a track.you won't find a much more stable fishing platform than this boat.it also has level floatation to keep it upright in case of an accidental submerging.[i did it on the illinois river,it works!]the only thing with that boat is that they were built with alot of wood in them and they have to be stored inside or the floor and deck with rot away.as long as that part of the boat is intact you will be pleasantly surprised with the fishability and performance of the marauder.
