I totally understand the limitations of the standard locking hatches - wasn't implying that the design was bad. In my garage I installed these hooks on either side of the service door that a 2x4 slides into after a lock smith recomended the contraption - cheap and easy. I could swear I saw a device that laid across the deck and prohibited the whole HATCH from opening. Sort of like what semi trailers use to secure a partial load...spent a little while searching the interenet to no avail. I recall cabelas having them but couldn't locate them today. Any help would be appreciated.
