I'm having a difficult time putting a full charge back into my starting battery after running my electronics for a day while anchored. It is possible but unlikely the battery is shot already. The motor is charging it back up some, but not enough to top of the battery. At times, I jump the starter from the trolling motor batteries.

Do you put a charger on your starter battery from time to time, and if so, what would you recommend for a charger? I'm considering adding a second starter battery, but I'm not sure there are concerns for charging two simultaneously from the main motor charging system. Is there a portable power system you carry with in case of battery problems?

TIA, Mike
