Location: Shorewood, IL		I don't have my manual with me as I'm at work but I believe that the blinking light is the "oil change reminder" that comes on after 100 hours until you reset it & then 100 hours after reset.

If the oil light is blinking AND it starts beeping then you have a problem.

That is how it works on my motor - 2002 Suzuki 115 4-stroke
